Aje CMO project brief · Response by Deena Colman
Aje campaign reference showing garment form and texture

The visual and verbal codes.

Duality is the founders' own idea and the strongest answer to the brief's question about contradictions: tough and feminine, volume and structure, coast and city, Noosa and Paris.

Explore the thinking

The thinking behind it.

Code What it means How it shows up
The light Warm, generous, optimistic light, wherever she is Natural light in every shoot, from a Paris courtyard to a city terrace at dusk
The silhouette Volume and structure, raw edges Hero shapes repeated and evolved each season, so Aje is recognisable without a logo
The print Hand-painted, never generic Signature prints developed in the studio and told as stories
The casting Women in pairs and groups, representative of every market Friends, sisters and generations; no woman shot alone as the default
The voice Strong and light in the same sentence "Tough and light." "Made for the moments we gather." "Hand-painted in our studio. Made to be worn until the night runs late."

Built on what Aje already says about itself. Duality is the founders' own idea and the strongest answer to the brief's question about contradictions: tough and feminine, volume and structure, coast and city, Noosa and Paris. Craft justifies the price internationally and gives endless "by piece" stories. The named collections (Summer 26 "Rebel Rebel", Resort 27 "Siren", Summer 27 "Unfurled") are ready-made narrative chapters to build the calendar around.

One voice, not two. The website says raw beauty, tough femininity and effortless cool; TikTok says exuberant, light and eternally optimistic. A CMO's first job is one voice everywhere: the founders' attitude, delivered with optimism.
