Aje CMO project brief · Response by Deena Colman
Aje editorial image of an olive dress with gathered fabric

Why would she join the Aje world?

Because Aje is made for her moments and worn with an attitude she wants to own: designs made by hand that no one else makes, from the wedding to Monday morning to the reformer.

Explore the thinking

The thinking behind it.

01

The Aje attitude

02

Made by hand

03

Dressed for every moment

04

Shaped by culture

The attitude (the founders' words): raw beauty, tough femininity and effortless cool. In Australia it sits with "an Australian fashion house"; internationally, lead with the attitude and let Australia be the origin story.

Four pillars, each answering one question. One functional, two emotional, one cultural. Each is provable, a competitor couldn't claim the same set, and each works as a filter for decisions.

Pillar Answers Type What it means Proof The filter
The Aje attitude Who she is Emotional Raw beauty, tough femininity, effortless cool Casting, voice, Adut Akech, Peggy Gou Never try too hard; no shouting sale
Made by hand What we make Functional Unique design, made to last Hand-painted prints, hand-sewn detail; new: Aje Atelier repairs, Aje Archive pre-loved Fewer things, made properly
Dressed for every moment When she wears it Emotional Styled for her life, not sold to In-store styling; new: AI and virtual stylist, the 24/7 programme Start with her moment, not the product
Shaped by culture Where Aje shows up Cultural Independent, founder-run, made with artists and makers Paris shows; new: Aje Table, music and maker collaborations Partner with makers, not brands; cast the world

Across the three wardrobes: the same four pillars, expressed at each price.

Pillar Aje (up to ~$2K) Aje Studio (up to $299) Aje Athletica (leggings ~$120)
Made by hand Hand-painted prints Aje silhouettes, quality fabrics Aje design, performance fabric
The Aje attitude Raw beauty at the wedding Effortless cool at work Tough femininity on the court
Dressed for every moment Weddings, events, Paris New job, weekends, travel New Year, tennis, pilates
Shaped by culture Paris, ambassador, Aje Table Everyday creators and makers Instructors and active clubs

The price ladder is a strength: Athletica (~$120) and Studio (up to $299) are authentic entry points into the same world as a $350 shirt or a $2K dress, because every piece carries the same pillars. That makes the cross-brand journey, and lifetime value, credible.

Why this set is distinctive: a competitor may claim craft, or Paris, or Australia, but not hand-made design plus this attitude plus a house that styles her whole life across three wardrobes.

Working notes & verification

Check before presenting: that Aje Studio and Aje Athletica are designed in the founders' studio, and current price points by brand. Atelier, Archive and the product story are proposals; cost them before committing.
